Part of the idea for this site is to encourage cross-pollination between the user groups. I know it's tough coming up with new speakers for every meeting. Guess what? You don't have to. Speakers and topics from other groups can be appropriate for yours. For example, I gave a presentation at the Atlanta Unix Users' Group about the current state of the art in open-source databases a few months back. I was invited to come to the Georgia Oracle Users' Group last month to give the same presentation. I was well-received at both meetings. So heads up, program coordinators. Look around at the other users groups and see if any of their topics would work for you. We'd still love for a Ruby programmer to come to the Unix Users' Group and give a talk on 'Ruby for Unix SysAdmins'. So start looking around and sharing programs and speakers.
